Privacy Policy

Who we are

Hemodialysis, Inc. is a continuing-education provider for dialysis professionals, approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (Provider CEP2359). This policy explains what personal information we collect when you purchase a course, sit a post-test, or contact us, and how we handle it.

What we collect

  • Identity and contact details — your name and email address, so we can fulfill your order and issue your certificate.
  • License information — your nursing license number and license type (for example, RN or LVN), which appear on the CE certificate and support our recordkeeping obligations.
  • Shipping address — only when you order a printed monograph, so we can mail it to you.
  • Payment information — card payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number. Stripe shares limited transaction details (such as the amount, status, and last four digits) with us to confirm your order. Stripe's handling of your data is governed by its own privacy policy.
  • Course activity — your post-test results and certificate records, which we keep as part of the CE record described below.

Why we collect it

We use your information to fulfill your purchase, deliver course materials, grade your post-test, issue and verify your certificate, respond to your inquiries, and meet our obligations as an approved CE provider. We do not use your information for unrelated marketing without your consent.

How long we keep it

We retain continuing-education completion records — including your name, license information, course, and certificate details — for at least four years, consistent with California Board of Registered Nursing CE provider recordkeeping requirements. We may keep transaction records longer where required for tax or accounting purposes.

Note: the specific retention period is a regulatory requirement and should be verified against the current BRN CE Provider Handbook before this policy is published.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we rely on to run the business — such as Stripe for payments, our email delivery provider, and shipping carriers for printed orders — and only to the extent needed to provide the service or as required by law.

Your choices and requests

You may ask us what information we hold about you, request a correction, or request deletion. Because we are required to keep CE completion records for the retention period above, some records may not be deletable until that period has passed. To make a request, contact us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page.
